Welcome to module 1. In this section I
would like to introduce you to the basic issues of wellbeing, which will be developed later. We
will start with the context, you will learn about the psycho-physical condition of the human being and
what the phenomenon of 'karohi' is. You will then understand how
to define wellbeing and that a distinction can be made
between individual wellbeing
and organisational wellbeing and
what are the related concepts. You will learn why wellbeing is part of and one of the goals of
sustainable development.
